22H10 (GMT+1): But, by no means can this result be described as good news for Johnson though, he has lost the support of a larger proportion of the party than Theresa May did when she faced a No Confidence Vote in 2018. And within eight months of that Vote, May had already resigned.

22H (GMT+1): Boris Johson has won tonight's No Confidence Vote. He is immune to any new No Confidence Votes for 1 year at least.

21H57 (GMT+1): Early reports seem to call Boris Johnson winner of today's No Confidence Vote.

21H55 (GMT+1): We are just seconds away from knowing if the UK's prime minister will be able to keep his position.

21H50 (GMT+1): Vote "won’t end tensions in the Tory party" Jim Pickard, chief political correspondent at The Financial Times, has spoken to a minister (whose identity is currently unknown) that told him that the vote wouldn't lower tensions within the party.

21H45 (GMT+1): Who could replace Boris Johnson if he loses this evening's No Confidence Vote? The list of contenders is long but serious candidates include: Sajid Javid, Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak…

21H (GMT+1): The vote of confidence in Boris Johnson’s premiership has now closed. Results are expected in an hour’s time.
