11H00 (GMT+1): With few remaining votes to count, we have frozen this LIVE and will post the results in their entirety when they come out. Bye!
13H30 (GMT+1): Officials have predicted that the final results of the key Nevada Senate race could take days to obtain as they are flooded with thousands of mail-in ballots.
10H00 (GMT+1): As of this morning most of the results have come in and they are surprisingly BAD for Republicans. Last night, the GOP was predicted to win the Senate and maybe even the House, yet this morning, the race for the Senate is as close as ever, with Democrats actually TAKING Pennsylvania from the GOP! As for the House, the Republicans are still the favorites but how close will the race be?
01H20 (GMT+1): As the first results come in, the BuffPo will continue posting updates later today.
01H15 (GMT+1): Two Senate and three House of Representatives races in the states of Kentucky and South Carolina have now been called, all of which are secured by the Republican Party.
00H10 (GMT+1): Public polling doesn't always get it right, but it appears the Democrats are expecting a bad night. As the first results come in, we begin to hear of poor performances by the party in states such as Nevada or Indiana.
20H30 (GMT+1): Question by @OrbeJudith on Twitter: "Will Pennsylvania become Republican?"
Dear Reader, Pennsylvania is one of the most crucial states for both Democrats and Republicans. As for the rest of the country, it seems that Pennsylvania is expected to turn red tonight despite historically leaning left. Since the 2016 General Election however, Pennsylvania has become an important swing state and therefore it sounds like more or less anything could happen.
20H15 (GMT+1): Question by @101Philosophers on Twitter: "What is the likely outcome of the elections? Can the Democrats keep Congress?"
Dear Reader, The GOP are currently the bookies favorites to win the election. The Democrats are expected to lose the Senate and perhaps even the House of Representatives…
20H05 (GMT+1): Question by @Wod_Cohen on Twitter: "What will be the impact of the Republicans winning?"
Dear Reader, the Republicans currently control a minority of seats in the house of Representatives and about half of the Senate. The Republicans winning means that Joe Biden probably won't be able to pass any legislation through Congress and perhaps more problematic for him, voting system modifications desired by the GOP could penalize the Democratic Party going into the next elections.
14H50 (GMT+1): Ukrainians preoccupied by the possibility of a GOP victory in the Midterm Elections as the party has recently shown waning support for Ukraine.
12H00 (GMT+1): Poll Stations are now opened on the USA East Coast.
