15H: Question by @docmartincohen on Twitter: "How will the vote for the Assembly go? Will En Marche win it again?"
Dear reader, the French Legislative Elections usually happen in June shortly after the new president's inauguration. Political parties field candidates for each of the country's 577 constituencies and the party with the most deputies elected wins a majority in the National Assembly. Today it seems unlikely that Macron's party 'La République En Marche!' would win a majority once again.
12H50: Question by @101Philosophers on Twitter: "When did overseas France vote?"
Dear reader, the Hexagon and Overseas France are scattered over 13 different timezones. For this reason, some far away French regions started voting yesterday. The first estimates, however, all come out at the same time, 20H Paris time.
12H25: Question by @MiceloNoh on Twitter:
"Can we expect Macron to NOT be in the second round?"
Dear reader, the latest polls all expect Macron to be qualified for the second round of voting but there is a risk that many of his supporters will not head to the polls today, which could be a very real problem for him.
12H20: You can ask us YOUR questions about the French Election on Twitter under our latest tweet and we'll do our best to answer them.
